Ethnic and Regional

In the modern world, traditional boundaries such as race, culture, language, and religion are slowly fading. Nouvelle cuisine and haute cuisine are two terms that come to mind when we think of cooking as an art. These French terms are indicative of cutting edge methods involves the blending of these ethnic or regional food styles into sensational new dishes that will please even the most sophisticated connoisseur.

Defining the meaning of Terrorism is not as simple today as this word appears to be. Once it was defined as “an organized system of intimidation or the practice of using violence to obtain political demands”. But in this present world it has become a complex phenomenon where terrorists are using different tactics of terrorism and different types of terrorist activities like suicide bombing, mass murders, burglaries, arson, kidnapping or hijacking and torture of the worst order. And there are always some limited causes behind all such kinds of terrorism which encompass Religious imposition, Social imbalances, political denials, ethnic emotions and economic disparity and deprivations. Such are certain major reasons of Terrorism in any part or country of this universe and likewise is in Pakistan.

Apparatus: Middle Eastern cultures tend to eat from a common plate at the center of the table. Pita bread is used instead of cutlery. Guests break off pieces of pita to scoop or grab the food from the common plate. British cultures favor using cutlery for all foods. It is uncultured to use fingers to transport food of any type to one's mouth. In the Philippines it is appropriate to eat with a spoon in your right hand, using your fork in your left hand to cut larger pieces of food. Russians frown upon using a knife when eating fish. Etiquette requires a fish to be broken up using either one or two forks.

French cuisine is one of the most popular cuisines in the world. In 2010, UNESCO added French gastronomy to its world's “intangible cultural heritage” list. French regional cuisines are characterized by the use of locally grown vegetables and fungi like carrot, turnip, zucchini, leek, truffle, porcini, mushroom, and chanterelle. Some of the common French dishes are Pot au feu (Beef Stew), Foie de veau (Veal Liver), Foie gras (Goose Liver or Fatty Duck), Mousse au chocolat (Dessert), Madeleine (Cake-like Cookie), Matelote (Fish Stew), Cargolade (Escargot in Catalan Style), and Ratatouille (Vegetable Stew).

On 23rd March 1962, the Federal Parliament approved a Constitutional amendment to provide for a fourth Region in Nigeria. The proposal was then approved by the legislatures of Eastern and Northern Regions, although rejected at the time by the Western legislature. A referendum was held in the area affected on 13th July 1963, which gave an overwhelming support to the creation of a new Region.

The general election having held in December 1959, no single party obtained an overall majority of the 312 seats in the new House of Representatives. The distribution of seats was as follows: Northern People's Congress (NPC) 134, Nigerian Council of Nigerian Citizens (NCNC) 89, and Action Group (AG) 73, while others had 16. It would thus have been possible for a coalition of the NCNC and the AG to command a working majority in the House, and discussions were held between the leaders to that effect. These negotiations broke down, partly owing to the hostility between the two parties and partly because of the fear that the Northern Government was based upon the two Southern parties only. In the end, the NPC and the NCNC formed a coalition government under Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa. The AG, frustrated, became the official opposition. Dr. Azikiwe resigned his seat in the House and was appointed President of the newly established Senate.

A decree published by the Federal Military Government on 17th March, purporting to implement the Aburi agreement made secession illegal and empowered the SMC to take over the powers of government in any region where it had declared a state of emergency.

There are many countries that form a part of the continent of Asia like the Islamic nations and the Southeastern countries of Nepal, India and Bangladesh. Asia has the largest land mass in the whole world and is a home to a majority of human population that is residing in the world. Most of the densely populated countries of the world are situated in Asia. There are a large number of countries that constitute this continent and as a result it is home to a wide variety of cultures and traditions. People of Asia are very strongly attached to their homelands and find it very painful to separate from their native countries.

Political dissension and violence between the two parties increased to such a point that by the end of December 1965, the Nigerian police force, seriously undermanned and physically exhausted from the strain of a year or more of violence in the Region, found itself losing its grip on the situation and unable to guarantee the maintenance of law and order. This was a period the political violence in the Region was euphemistically nick-named “operation wetice” during which political hooligans and arsonists poured petrol on political opponents and burnt them alive, including their houses and other material possessions.

Current opinion and international action has just been reactive so far. Westerners are mainly focused on China's attempts to prevent rapid devaluing of the bought dollars (before all of them are eventually used on natural resources anyway) through creation of an international reserve currency Some look on how the international recession, can be used by China, to move from less advanced manufacturing to price competing with Germans and Japanese when it comes to advanced electronics and electric cars. Chinese confidence in constructively criticizing the existing international economic system is often noted.
